1960-1970 – Tbilisi #77 secondary school;
1971-1975 - Tbilisi High Military Artillery Educational Institution;
1987-1989 - Moscow Military-Engineering Academy;

Qualification
In 1998 he defended a thesis on: “The History of the Georgian Armed Forces and problems of its formation on the modern stage”, specialty 07.00.01 – History of Georgia and he was awarded by degree of Doctor of Historical Science.
He has published more than 20 of works, monograph and articles.

Working Experience:
1975-1992 – On deferent commending positions in the Ministry of Defense of the Soviet Union;
1992-2000 - Rector of Joint Military Academy of Georgian Ministry of Defense;
2000-2002 – Deputy Director of Department of Emergency Conditions and Civilian Defense of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia;
2004- up to day – Senior Researcher of Institute of Structures, Special Systems and Engineering Maintenance of the Georgian Technical University.
