The Rector of the Georgian Technical University, Academician David Gurgenidze, expresses his condolences to the family, colleagues, the Faculty of Construction, and the Department of Engineering Mechanics and Construction Technical Expertise of the university over the death of the researcher and teacher, Professor Nugzar Murghulia.

“Professor of the Department of Engineering Mechanics and Construction Technical Expertise of the Faculty of Construction of the Georgian Technical University, renowned engineer-hydro technician Nugzar Murghulia - an outstanding researcher of the dynamics of structures and mechanics of deformed bodies, author of numerous scientific articles, five textbooks and monographs, a teacher endowed with special skills, who raised many generations of famous and successful specialists, died at the age of 76.”
We are saying goodbye to our dear colleague, a great-natured person, who, along with immeasurable love and devotion, was connected to the Georgian Technical University for the greatest period of his life - his student years and 53 years of work.
We express our condolences to the Murghulia family, the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Mr. Nugzari’s friends, colleagues, and students. May the Lord enlighten his soul in the kingdom of heaven,” the rector, David Gurgenidze stated in his condolence letter.
