“Our faculty combines fields that play a critical role in the modern world: engineering, economics, media technologies, and social sciences. These areas create a platform where technological progress combines with economic analysis and social responsibility. It is the synthesis of this knowledge that shapes students into competitive professionals,” said Professor Aleksandre Sichinava, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Economics, Media Technologies and Social Sciences of the Georgian Technical University, while summing up the 2024/2025 academic year.
In the 2024/2025 academic year, the Faculty of Engineering, Economics, Media Technologies, and Social Sciences implemented the following scientific-grant projects with foreign funding: “Human War Casualties and National Memory. British-Georgian-Polish Perspective”; “Democratic Rule of Law State in the Face of COVID-19-Related Challenges”, as well as projects funded by the state program: Archaeological research of the Vashnari settlement; Archaeological excavations of the “Saguramo-Gori”, “Lekhur-Sveneti” section of the gas pipeline; Archaeological research in the Amlevi territory; “The Idea of Goodness and Morality in Hegel’s Philosophy” - a project supporting publishing activities within the framework of promoting culture/supporting the development of museums; Hegel’s 35th Anniversary Congress, a project funded by the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth. Grant projects were implemented: Narikala-Dedatsikhe Conservation and Rehabilitation Works; Palliative Care Practice in Georgia - at the Intersection of Sociocultural, Theological and Natural Science Perspectives”.
According to Professor Aleksandre Sichinava, the Acting Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Economics, Media Technologies, and Social Sciences at Georgian Technical University, students participated in the Erasmus+ exchange program at Mendel University in Brno during the 2024/2025 academic year. Additionally, these students took part in various international and local competitions, achieving several victories.

This educational path requires analytical skills and a sense of responsibility. The acquisition of knowledge extends beyond the classroom.
