Essential Cookies:

They do not store any personally identifiable information but are necessary for the website to function properly. Typically, they are only set in response to user actions. What Types of Cookies Do We Use?

The university’s website uses:

1. First-Party Cookies – These are essential for providing the requested services. They are used exclusively by the GTU website server, are not shared with third parties, and are required for website functionality.

2. Third-Party Cookies – These cookies facilitate website usability or are used solely for statistical data collection on website users. Third-party cookies are activated only with your consent.

What Data Do We Collect and Why?

The website collects the following cookies:

• Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) Token (xsrf-token): Prevents malicious applications from submitting fraudulent data requests and ensures website security. It is automatically deleted when the web browser is closed.

• User Request Verification Token: Blocks unauthorized content submission (Cross-Site Request Forgery). It is necessary for website usage and does not collect user information. This token is automatically deleted when the web browser is closed.

• Google Analytics User ID: Used for statistical user identification and is stored on the user's computer for two years. It can be deleted through browser settings.

• Google Analytics Request Time: Identifies request speed and is stored for one minute. It can be deleted through browser settings.

• Google Analytics Temporary User ID: Differentiates users and is stored for 24 hours. It can be deleted through browser settings.

• Other Google Cookies (PREF, VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE, VISITOR_PRIVACY_METADATA, YSC): Used to analyze visitor behavior, data flow, search queries, and more. These can be deleted via browser settings.

• Adaptive Functionality Cookies (Font Size and Contrast): Enable adaptive website functionality. They are stored until the session ends and are necessary for the website to operate properly.

• Laravel Session Identifier (pdpsge_session): Identifies user-selected language, font color, and other personalized settings. It is stored on the user's computer and deleted when the session ends or the browser is closed.

• Visitor Cookie (laravel_cookie_consent): Simplifies future visits by remembering user preferences. It is stored on the user’s computer and can be deleted via browser settings.
