Information for VISA
Students must apply for a long-term visa (type D immigration visa) for study purposes. To do this, the student must be enrolled in Georgian Technical University and have an official enrollment document with them.

The university does not offer invitations to international students or certifications for obtaining visas.
Stage 1. Before travelling to Georgia, citizens/students must get a long-term visa from the Georgian embassy in their home country.

Stage 2. Citizens who are legally living in Georgia must apply to the House of Justice for a residence permit that grants them the right to temporarily reside in Georgia.
A temporary residency permit is issued for the first time for a minimum of 6 months, with a maximum validity length of one year. The permit's validity duration can be extended for another 5 years, but only if the total validity time of the temporary residence permit does not exceed 6 years.
In order to obtain a residence permit, a foreign national must apply to the Agency 40 calendar days before the end of their permitted stay in Georgia.
