Two posters created by a highly rated student of the Georgian Technical University’s International Design School, Bachelor of Arts Dimitri Kazarov, have been selected among the winning works of the United States International Poster Biennale 2025 (USIPB 2025). The posters were developed as part of a course assignment during the first semester of the current academic year.

The student recently received official confirmation of his success in the prestigious international competition, along with a certificate signed by the President of USIPB 2025, Christopher Scott, and Vice President Ryan Sloan. Kazarov’s works were selected from among 11,845 submissions.

According to the organizers of the US International Poster Biennale, Dmitri Kazarov’s posters Geothermal Abstraction” and “Sherman - The Good Goliath”, are currently being exhibited across the United States. They are also featured on the official USIPB website in Category D – “National Parks”, with a link.

As noted by the Dean of the International Design School at the Georgian Technical University, Professor Malkhaz Razmadze, the student’s recognition at USIPB 2025 highlights the excellence and creativity demonstrated in contemporary poster design. This achievement also reflects the high standards of education at the International Design School, which is based on advanced international practices and methodologies.

Both pieces were chosen by the jury for their excellence, creativity, insightful understanding of contemporary trends, as well as their conceptual and visual clarity. The certificate, recently received by our student, is signed by the President and Vice President of USIPB 2025. This marks yet another success for the International Design School of the Georgian Technical University,” said Malkhaz Razmadze.

Rector, Academician David Gurgenidze, congratulated Bachelor Dimitri Kazarov on his international success. According to the Rector, this achievement is of particular importance both for the student and for the Georgian Technical University and its International Design School, which consistently fosters competitive professionals adapted to modern demands.

“I sincerely congratulate our student on this important international success. Dimitri Kazarov’s achievement once again confirms that the International Design School of the Georgian Technical University creates an environment with high academic standards and modern teaching methods, where young people can fully realize their creative potential. It is also important to highlight the role of the academic team of the International Design School, which provides students with knowledge and practical experience based on design thinking and innovative approaches.

In the modern world, a poster is regarded as a powerful tool for communication across cultures, helping to inform the global community about shared human challenges and to promote social dialogue. In this context, our student’s success carries special significance - he has worthily represented Georgia, our university, and its International Design School in the international professional arena. I congratulate him and am confident that Dimitri will achieve many more important successes in the future and will continue to strengthen the country’s position in the global arena through his creativity,” noted Academician David Gurgenidze.
