Nino Kopaleishvili, a student of the Faculty of Architecture, Urbanism and Design of the Georgian Technical University, won first place in the student architects’ exhibition-competition organized by the company Honeywell Cement for her project “Multi apartment residential building in Tbilisi” submitted under the mentorship of GTU associate professor Besarion Tatishvili, and as a result, became the unconditional winner of the competition.
The exhibition-competition of student architects, which was held at the initiative of “Honeywell Cement” for the first time within the framework of the 8th International Conference on Quality, was attended by future architects from the GTU Faculty of Architecture, Urbanism, and Design, along with students from other higher education institutions: Ana Chelidze (mentor: Associate Professor Vasil Kobulia), Aleksandre Dgebuadze (mentor: Professor Gia Nadiradze), Tatia Cherkezishvili (mentor: Associate Professor Besarion Tatishvili) and Anri Pertseladze (mentors: Professor Nino Imnadze and Vasil Kobulia).
According to the faculty Professor Nino Imnadze, at the exhibition-competition where students' architectural projects were presented, experts, specialists in the field, and visitors had the opportunity to vote for the most impressive projects.
As Nino Imnadze notes, the award ceremony for the winning student projects was held at the “Tsinandali Manor”, and the jury’s decision was a joy for the Georgian Technical University and its Faculty of Architecture, Urbanism and Design, as the first place in the exhibition-competition was won by the faculty’s student Nino Kopaleishvili.
