For Students

About Us

The Tutoring and Mentoring Center at GTU operates with the purpose of supporting students’ academic success, personal development, and professional growth. The Center was established within the framework of the Erasmus+ project PROMENT (Promoting Professional Education and Students’ Engagement through a Comprehensive Mentoring and Tutoring System at HEIs) and is based on European practices that combine elements of individual and group tutoring, mentoring, career support, and psychological well-being.

The Center’s services are available to first-year students, international students, internally displaced and relocated students, individuals with special educational needs, and all motivated young people who wish to strengthen their academic skills, develop personal and social competencies, and enhance their career opportunities.

Tutors (high-achieving senior students) and mentors (fourth-year students, academic staff, and industry professionals) offer students a variety of support services, including individual and group tutoring, mentoring for professional, academic, and personal development, assistance for international and internally displaced students, guidance in navigating university academic and administrative procedures, empowerment of women students in STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), and the development of soft skills such as communication, time management, problem-solving, and teamwork.

The goal of the Center is to create a supportive, inclusive, and student-centered environment where every student receives timely, comprehensive, and personalized assistance, discovers and develops their potential, and becomes actively engaged in the academic, research, and social life of the university.
