GTU Students Union has been actively participating in various works of church-monastery restoration and construction for years.

This tradition is continued nowadays and On 20 July under the blessings of Georgian Patriarch Ilia II GTU Students’ Self-Government sent the students to various eparchies in order to protect national cultural inheritance. 100 students, separated into 10 groups will be doing different kinds of work under the directions of the ecclesiastics and they will be acquainting with the historical significance regarding these monuments during 10 days as well.
