The Rector of the Georgian Technical University, Academician David Gurgenidze, on behalf of the university community, expresses his sorrow over the death of the distinguished teacher and researcher, Professor Revaz Makhviladze, and extends his condolences to the family, the Faculty of Construction, the friends, and educators of the deceased.
“On behalf of the Georgian Technical University, we express our deep sorrow over the passing of one of the outstanding scientists, engineers, and distinguished teachers of the Faculty of Construction, Professor Revaz Makhviladze.
Mr. Revaz held a worthy place in the engineering and scientific circles of Georgia. His work included more than 150 scientific papers, two copyrights, and eight textbooks, many of which are still actively used in both educational and practical engineering activities.
Revaz Makhviladze was an example of professional integrity and high academic culture. Over the decades, he has educated many generations of engineers, most of whom successfully work in Georgia and abroad.
On behalf of the Georgian Technical University, we express our condolences to Mr. Revaz’s family, the Faculty of Construction, his friends, colleagues, and students.
