GTU Vice-Rector to Graduated International Students “You are our Ambassadors Around the World”

“I am confident that the knowledge and practical experience gained at the Georgian Technical University will play an important role in your professional development. Each of you has a solid foundation to cope with the changing challenges of the modern world successfully, be it science, engineering, technology, business, or other fields. Our university, in parallel with theoretical knowledge, offers students competencies related to professional practice. You have gone through a path of education and practical experience that allows you to be initiators of change in your countries. I believe that the Georgian Technical University will remain in your memory as the beginning of the path to professionalism,” said the Vice-Rector of the Georgian Technical University, Professor Tamar Lominadze, at the farewell event for the graduating international students of the 2024/2025 academic year.
Architecture, construction, business technologies, informatics, design - these are the directions in which young people from foreign countries are actively interested in studying at GTU, which in turn indicates the compliance of the university’s educational programs with international requirements. According to Vice-Rector, Professor Tamar Lominadze, the growing interest in these directions reflects the expectations and readiness of international students to receive quality education.
“The Georgian education system is integrated into the European higher education space and is based on the principles of the Bologna Process, which makes the country’s educational quality competitive at the international level. Georgian Technical University, one of the oldest higher education institutions in the South Caucasus, is an ideal place for the youth from foreign countries to receive high-quality education. It is worth noting that two years ago, the English-language bachelor’s educational program of the Faculty of Informatics and Control Systems of Georgian Technical University - “Biomedical Engineering” - for the first time in the history of the university, obtained international full accreditation from the American Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET). In addition, five programs are already ready to get ABET accreditation. Our university is focused on innovation and a student-oriented learning process. Studying at the Georgian Technical University means that a student receives a practice-based education that meets international standards.

The farewell event for international students graduating from the 2024/2025 academic year ended with a concert in which university creative groups participated.
