At the Faculty of Construction of the Georgian Technical University, specialists from the well-known Spanish company CYPE held a masterclass for students and professors on software issues in the construction sector.
The 5-day masterclass, held in BIM technologies, was mentored by Professor David de Dios. The masterclass at the Faculty of Construction was attended by Dina Pevneva, a representative of the company CYPE.
As the Dean of the Faculty of Construction, Professor Zurab Gvishiani notes, the Georgian Technical University considers it important to equip the educational process with new theoretical knowledge and practical opportunities.
Accordingly, within the partnership framework with the Spanish company, it organizes master classes to train young specialists in software issues in the construction sector.
According to Zurab Gvishiani, the company CYPE, which offers specialist software solutions for managing architecture, structures, mechanics, plumbing, ventilation, and energy projects, donated 200 licenses of software intended for the construction sector to the Georgian Technical University for educational and practical purposes.
“CYPE is an experienced company and its programs, including the BIM technology platform, are used by engineers worldwide. After transferring 200 licenses of software intended for the construction sector to our university, the company’s specialists are conducting special master classes for students and professors on the practical use of BIM technologies and the program. Interested students and teachers can get acquainted with the program in detail and receive all the necessary consultations regarding its practical use. After the master classes, the program developed by the company CYPE, as an update, will be introduced at the Faculty of Construction of the Georgian Technical University and will be used in the educational process and design work”, notes Zurab Gvishiani.
As part of the partnership, Carlos Fernandez, Technical Director of the Spanish company CYPE, donated 200 software licenses for educational and practical purposes to the Georgian Technical University in February of this year.
