"From Paradise to Golgotha" Doctor of Art History Asmat Okropiridze Held a Public Lecture
As part of the cultural and educational program “Georgian Identity” at the Georgian Technical University, Doctor of Art History Asmat Okropiridze gave a public lecture titled “From Paradise to Golgotha”.

The event, organized by the Georgian Technical University’s Theological Research Center and the Christian Studies Laboratory, with the Logos - International Center for Christian Studies, was opened by Professor Mamuka Giorgadze, Deputy Dean for International Relations and Science of the Faculty of Law and International Relations of the Georgian Technical University.

As the speaker noted, the joint project of the Georgian National Academy of Sciences and the Patriarchate of Georgia “Georgian Identity” aims to make students aware of history.

“A public lecture is being held for the second time at the Georgian Technical University within the framework of the cultural and educational program “Georgian Identity”.

This program reminds the public, especially students, the future generation of our country of the most important stages of history that determine the values and identity of the country.

This project brings the main idea to the youth - Georgia and the Georgian people are a worthy nation and partners of humanity. We can boldly say the substance of a supernatural, supramental state. Today, at the Georgian Technical University, Mrs. Asmat Okropiridze will deliver a public lecture “From Paradise to Golgotha”. It is pleasant that the auditorium is full, which indicates great interest from the youth”, - noted Mamuka Giorgadze.

The event was attended by the Reverend Daniel, Metropolitan of the Diocese of Chiatura and Sachkhere, of the Georgian Orthodox Church, by a linguist, editor-in-chief of the “Explanatory Dictionary of the Georgian Language” - academician Avtandil Arabuli, GTU Vice-Rector - Professor Tamar Lominadze, deans of faculties and students.

At the end of the public lecture, Asmat Okropiridze answered students’ questions.
