The company “TAM Management” (Tbilaviamsheni) established a scholarship for students in the Aviation Engineering bachelor’s educational program of the Faculty of Transportation Systems and Mechanical Engineering of Georgian Technical University.

The GTU vice-rector, Professor Tamar Tsereteli, the Faculty of Transportation Systems and Mechanical Engineering administration representatives, students, and professors of bachelor’s educational programs of Aviation Engineering met with the Deputy Director General of TAM Management Kakha Zghenti, where was decided that based on the memorandum of cooperation signed between the university and the company, the company will establish a scholarship within the framework of the scholarship program for motivated and highly academic students of the Bachelor's program in Aviation Engineering.

According to the GTU vice-rector, at the Georgian Technical University, at the Faculty of Transportation Systems and Mechanical Engineering, teaching of the bachelor’s educational program “Aviation Engineering” has been resumed for the third year, in the implementation the company “TAM Management” is actively involved.

On the other hand, “TAM Management” is a Georgian aviation manufacturing company, that specializes in the repair, modernization, design, and production of military, civil, and aircraft of various classes.

The company’s history begins with the creation of the state aviation factory in 1941, and since 2015 it has been operating under the name of TAM management.

“The director of the company, Mr. Pantiko Tordia, and the company management have made a great contribution to the bachelor’s educational program “Aviation Engineering” implementation at the Faculty of Transportation Systems and Mechanical Engineering at the Georgian Technical University.

I would like to thank you for appointing a nominal scholarship for the students, with the financial support of the company, to further promote the program and increase the student’s motivation. We think this will increase their motivation to study well, and also increase the interest of the future generation in this important profession,” said Tamar Tsereteli.

The meeting held at the head office of “TAM Management” continued in an interactive and interesting mode. The company representatives spoke to the students about the history and plans of the aircraft factory. Also, they visited the repair production of airplanes, multipurpose and helicopters, the design bureau, and others.
