Scientists, researchers, and students of Dresden University of Applied Sciences participated in the scientific-practical conference – “ICT in Life 2024”. The two-day conference, organized by the Georgian Technical University and Dresden University of Applied Sciences, was held at the Faculty of Informatics and Control Systems of GTU.
“This year, I am defending my thesis, and therefore, participating in the conference had a big meaning for me. First of all, I was interested in how engrossing the work I presented would be for both Georgian and foreign scientists, researchers, and students.
The conference allowed me to make new contacts. It is welcome that the Georgian Technical University allows students to participate in international conferences and other events. This increases our motivation, adds to our experience, and will enable us to share the knowledge gained at the university with our foreign peers”, - this is how Nino Ghudushauri, a doctoral student of the Faculty of Informatics and Control Systems, evaluated the scientific-practical conference.
About 80 students of the Faculty of Informatics and Control Systems of the Georgian Technical University and the Dresden University of Applied Sciences participated in the scientific-practical conference – “ICT in Life 2024”. The results of more than 50 scientific studies, interdisciplinary studies, and innovative ideas were presented at the conference.
According to Lisa Bundelihi, representative of the International Department of Dresden University of Applied Sciences, Georgian Technical University provides students with international standard education.
“I knew that Georgian Technical University is one of the big universities, but what I saw exceeded all expectations. It is one of the best universities at the international level, where students have all the conditions to get an education and become high-level professionals.
We see great potential among the students, who presented very interesting topics at the conference, which is the result of their long work. We are willing to award scholarships to successful students in addition to the Erasmus+ established quota.
I am happy with the cooperation, which includes exchange programs, research, and various events. The conference also allowed us to get acquainted with the work of scientists and researchers of the Georgian Technical University”, said Lisa Bundelihi, representative of the International Department of the Dresden University of Applied Sciences.
For information: the purpose of the scientific-practical conference – “ICT in Life 2024” was to motivate the students of East European University to research and realization of innovative ideas, and to promote the purposeful use of their intellectual potential. At the end of the conference, participants were awarded certificates.
