The refereed and peer-reviewed scientific research journal “Works” of the Georgian Technical University was indexed in a large international scientific database (International Scientific Indexing (ISI)) and given an impact factor.

The impact factor of the international GTU scientific journal was determined with 3 792 marks.

It should be noted that among 33 journals registered in the international scientific indexing database from Georgia, only 19 have been assigned an impact factor, and among them is the GTU scientific research journal “Works”.

As the director of the publishing house – “Technical University” - Marine Medzmariashvili says, among the magazines registered in the database, the magazine “Works” is in one of the leading positions.

“The American international scientific indexing server ISI indexes the world’s leading international scientific journals and conference collections. ISI’s goals are to increase the accessibility, visibility, and ease of use of scientific publications.

The database includes more than ten thousand international journals. By registering in it, the author of a scientific paper - a scientist can increase his/her rating and introduce the results of his/her scientific research to the world.

Also, the author can get information about the journal’s impact factor, scientific works, and upcoming events. The scientific journal “Works” was founded in 1924 at the Georgian Technical University.

The periodicity of the magazine includes 4 issues per year, in which scientific articles are printed by both Georgian and foreign scientists. 532 issues of scientific works have been published to date.

The International Scientific Indexing Database (ISI) will calculate and publish the impact factor of the scientific journal of the Georgian Technical University every year.

ISI also ensures access to quality journals. The server should include all open-access scientific journals that use an appropriate quality control system.

The journal “Works” of the Georgian Technical University actively continues its work for indexing and obtaining an impact factor in other highly rated international scientific databases, since the journal’s membership in international scientific databases is a guarantee of its promotion, presentation of important scientific research conducted in various scientific fields, and the global integration of Georgian scientific opinion”, notes Marine Medzmariashvili.
