“Our cooperation with ADA University has been going on for two years, which is headed by the rector of the Georgian Technical University, academician David Gurgenidze, and the rector of the Diplomatic Academy of Azerbaijan, professor Hafiz Pashayev.

We desire is to make the partnership much closer. The participation of the Georgian Technical University in the summer school is one of the steps in this direction, especially since cooperation with Azerbaijan is of strategic importance. The BSES certificate program brings together world-renowned scientists, practitioners, and energy policymakers, to study global and Caspian basin energy and environmental issues.

It should be noted that today in educational marketing, the Georgian Technical University is a monopolist in this direction because only our university has a modern teaching-research and expert laboratory base, created over the years, equipped with the latest technologies, both in the traditional, renewable and alternative energy fields.

In addition, we have professionals with extensive experience in the energy field. The university prepares new generations in energy, electrical engineering, engineering management, electrical and electronic engineering, technological project management, and energy industrial policy, innovation, and operations management, both in Bachelor’s, Master’s, and doctorate degrees.

Energy Summer School, implemented in partnership with ADA University, is our first large-scale joint project. In the future, we plan to hold educational trainings, workshops, and scientific conferences in which the ethnic Azerbaijani youth of the Georgian Technical University will actively participate.

Accordingly, within the framework of BSES, the Georgian Technical University hosts the leading scientists, practitioners, and representatives of energy companies from the mentioned countries.

The participants of BSES were welcomed by the executive head of the Institute of Education, Development and Diplomacy of ADA University, Professor Nargiz Ismailova, the head of the Department of Energy Efficiency, Renewable Energy Policy and Sustainable Development of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Margalita Arabidze and the second secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Georgia Ramiz Hajizada.
