The week of events dedicated to International Children’s Day Protection has started at the Georgian Technical University.
“Niko Nikoladze Club” held the first event within the week. The Club president stated that International Children’s Day, one of the oldest international holidays, is celebrated annually by the Georgian Technical University in different formats. According to Mariam Kakauridze, “Niko Nikoladze Club” gave gift packages to the children in the “Mother’s language” (Dedaena) garden.
“Niko Nikoladze Club” brought International Children’s Day to an open space, and thus, we could cheer up today’s day for any child. It was an event filled with a lot of emotions and joy. Within the framework of the event, we gave the children gift packages, particularly - a book, a large set of colored pencils, a drawing notebook, flowers, a box with 100 colored pieces of chalk, a felt-tip pen, and other necessary things. I will use this opportunity to thank the Rector of the Georgian Technical University, Academician Davit Gurgenidze, for the initiative to hold the event in a different format, and I’d like to thank the partner companies for their support. Let the children live in peace in Georgia”, said Mariam Kakauridze.
The Rector of the Georgian Technical University congratulates Georgian and world children on International Children’s Day. As academician Davit Gurgenidze stated, parents and teachers are mainly responsible for the happy future of children. The main mission of humanity is to take care of the next generation.
“On behalf of the Georgian Technical University, I congratulate you on International Children’s Day! Let peace be the main guide of future generations on the path to happiness and success. The Georgian Technical University implements several projects aiming at raising the love of knowledge in children. International Children’s Day was started at the university with an event organized by “Niko Nikoladze Club”. It is gratifying that the action of our students - youth for children, together with the university, is supported by several companies. I would like to thank everyone and wish peace to our future generations”, said Davit Gurgenidze.
For information, International Children’s Day was established at the 1925 Geneva World Conference dedicated to the welfare of children. In 1950, June 1st was first celebrated as International Children’s Day, after which it is celebrated annually. The Georgian Technical University will hold various events within the week dedicated to International Children’s Day.
