International Prize named after Ivan Franko was established by the Ivan Franko International Fund in Ukraine, initiated by the grandson of a Great Kamenyar- Roland Franko. Ukrainian and foreign scientists from England, Austria, Germany and Poland constitute the Board of the fund.
The First Prize will be awarded on August 27, 2016 at 160th anniversary of birth of Ivan Yakovich.
The Prize will be awarded to the researchers, research papers of whom will be submitted to the Prize committee and will be recognized as the best ones according to the International Jury.
The Prize includes the following nominations: 1- for significant contribution to the development of Ukrainian Studies; 2- for outstanding personal contribution to the development of social and human sciences.
