The Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy is soliciting proposals from publishing houses and academic institutions to translate textbooks and/or books for general public interest by American authors under the following themes:
Public Policy: general public policy, also public policy on issues related to the environment, agriculture, health, and education management.
Public Administration: general public administration, and related topics such as statistics, research methodologies, fund-raising, etc.
Media: media ethics, media management, mass communication and related topics.
International Relations: international relations, foreign policy, and related topics.
Law: international law, intellectual property rights, jury trials, and related topics.
Economics: business administration, economics, and related topics.
The deadline for submission of applications is March 31, 2011 by 6:00 p.m.
Interested candidates/representatives of publishing houses and academic institutions should email the book translation proposals (application attached) to Book Translation Program coordinators Bzishvili Sophie at bzishviliS@state.gov or Kharibegashvili Anna at KharibegashviliA@state.gov .
