On December 15-16, the Department of Science and Innovations of the Georgian Technical University will organize a scientific conference, “The Potential of Georgia’s Natural Resources and Prospects for Their Sustainable Use”.
The event aims to assess the potential of Georgia’s natural resources and determine the possibilities for their sustainable use.
The main direction of the conference is the vision: “Promoting the development of a knowledge-based economy in the country”.
The main goals of the conference are:
- Identifying existing problems in natural resource management and developing recommendations on ways to solve them;
- Presenting the scientific potential of the Georgian Technical University and emphasizing its role in the development of science and technology;
- Promoting sustainable development of regions through the rational use of local resources.
Topics to be discussed:
- Land resources of Georgia and prospects for their use;
- Forest resources of Georgia and development opportunities;
- Potential of the country’s water resources;
- Ways of using Georgia’s coastal resources;
- Modern approaches to mineral resource management;
- Potential of energy resources and their sustainable use;
- Opportunities for using medicinal plants and other plant resources;
- Effective development of tourist and recreational resources.
Scientists, researchers, university academic staff, students and professionals interested in the topic are invited to the conference.
The conference is an important platform for connecting science and practice, which will contribute to strengthening the knowledge-based economy in Georgia.

Abstract preparation rules:
The abstract must include the following structure:
1. Title – Font: Sylfaen and Times New Roman – 12 pt, Bold, centered.
2. Author/authors – name, surname, institution, academic title;
3. E-mail;
4. Main text (150–200 words);
5. Relevance of the topic, goal and objectives;
6. Research method, findings or main conclusions;
7. Recommendations for the use of resources;
8. Keywords 4-6 words, separated by commas.

- Margins: 2 cm
- Saving format: Word (DOCX)
- File name: Author’s last name + “Thesis” (e.g. gogoladze_tezisi.docx)
