The conference is a platform where many pressing issues facing higher education are discussed, be it university funding, support for reforms, or others. The unification of universities provides an opportunity to discuss problems, form a common opinion, and raise these issues before the Government of Georgia and the Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth, which, in turn, provides opportunities for development and advancement for professors, scientists, researchers, and students working in Georgian higher education institutions. I want to thank the conference participants for electing me as Chairman for a second term. I hope that together we will be able to move forward and develop,” said David Gurgenidze.
For information, the Standing Conference of Rectors of Georgia was established in 2019. Within the union’s framework, a thematic group on quality assurance was established. The group promotes the development of a quality culture in universities by sharing accumulated experience and best practices, discussing challenges, and creating opportunities for professional development.
