The final event of the internal university competition was held at the Georgian Technical University within the framework of the project - UNI4VERSE, at which the jury identified the winning student group.
The vice-rector of the Georgian Technical University opened the event.
As Professor Tamar Lominadze noted, Uni4Verse is a university competition organized by the Georgian Innovation and Technology Agency (GITA), and implemented by the Innovative Education Fund.
In 2024, the project is dedicated to the green economy, and 18 accredited universities in Georgia, including the Georgian Technical University participated in it.
“UNI4VERSE is one of the large-scale projects that aims to increase interest and engagement in innovation and technology among universities and students.
Six teams participated in the internal university competition, and all thirteen faculties were involved. Student groups presented very interesting presentations on green economy and technologies.
The idea of the winning team was about the prevention and utilization of irreversible emissions into the atmosphere from the flue gases (CO2, SOx, NOx) of cement production in the composition of cement (concrete).
I wish success to the winning team, Giorgi Kotorashvili and Anastasia Dvalishvili, students of the Faculty of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy, Tornike Revinov, a student of the Faculty of Transportation Systems and Mechanical Engineering, Gega Jerenashvili, a student of the Faculty of Construction, and their mentor, Professor of the Faculty of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy - Razden Shkhvitaridze,” said Tamar Lominadze in her speech.

The jury of the internal university competition, consisting of the Vice-Rector of the Georgian Technical University - Professor Tamar Lominadze, the Executive Director of the Renewable Energy Development Association of Georgia - Maya Melikidze, and the Deputy Chairman of the Innovation and Technology Agency - Tornike Jobava, identified the winning team, which will undergo four-day training and mentorship sessions in Tbilisi Technopark.
