Students of the Georgian Technical University got acquainted with the production process of the “GM Pharmaceutical Company”. Students of the Faculty of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy, Faculty of Informatics and Control Systems, and Faculty of Transportation Systems and Mechanical Engineering participated in the excursion seminar.
The excursion seminar was held on the initiative and organization of the Career Development Department of the Study Process Management Service of GTU, and along with the students participated - Head of the Career Development Department of the Study Process Management Service - Professor Nato Katamadze, Dean of the Faculty of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy - Professor Liana Targamadze, Head of the Pharmacy Department - Professor Tamar Tsintsadze, and Maka Kashibadze - teacher of the Mechanical Engineering Program of Transportation Systems and Mechanical Engineering.
According to the head of the career development department of the educational processes management service of GTU, one of the main components of teaching and learning is a practical course, and the university creates all the conditions for the students and helps them to become a professional.
“Our goal is to allow students to observe the production process on the spot, the production itself, comprehend the specifics of the activity, and deepen the knowledge gained at the university through such meetings. The production of “GM Pharmaceuticals” is a European-level, high-tech production, and we are glad that our students have the opportunity to visit and observe the production process on-site, which will further improve their professional skills. Within the framework of the meeting was planned to deepen the cooperation, which we welcome, and are glad that we give students the opportunity for career growth through such meetings,” - said Nato Katamadze.
According to the dean of the faculty of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy, the students got acquainted with the production process of “GM Pharmaceuticals” on the spot, listened to the lecture of the head of the quality assurance service about the company specifics, and participated in a discussion.
“The faculty welcomes such meetings. Our goal is for students to transfer the knowledge gained at the university to practice and thereby improve their professional skills. The more such meetings are planned and implemented, the better results we will achieve”, said Liana Targamadze.
