The Georgian Technical University students, from July 22 to 26 of the current year, will undergo training at the Gombori training center.
Within the framework of the second stream of the military training event organized by the organization – “Youth and Veterans for National Defense and Security”, 50 volunteer students of the Georgian Technical University will go to the Gombori training center. In the first stream 15 students of GTU were trained.
At the Gombori training center, volunteers selected according to their skills will undergo special training in unique and demanding specialties and listen to lectures on the law of armed conflicts, geopolitics, military history, information-psychological operations, and current armed conflicts.
Students will be trained in fire operations and marksmanship, land navigation, and engineering training; they will study a special course in first aid, emergency response, and communications, and undergo field training on self-rescue methods and techniques in extreme situations.
In their free time from studies, young people will relax, do sports, and have fun in the center. Comfortable and well-equipped infrastructure is provided in the center for the volunteer students.
Students wishing to participate in the third stream of the Gombori Training Center can apply for registration to the student self-government and the Department of Student Services, Culture and Sports of the Georgian Technical University, as well as to the student self-governments of the faculties.

The training center is based on Chapter XVII of the Defense Code – “Volunteering in the defense field” (Law of Georgia).
The training center aims to create a non-political structured unity of active and motivated citizens voluntarily to increase the country’s defense capability and ensure national security.
