At the Georgian Technical University, within the framework of the 2024 European Football Championship, the student campaign – “Let’s support the Georgian National Team” has started.
With the initiative and support of the Rector, Academician David Gurgenidze, as well as the organization of the university student clubs of Michel Mouskhely, Niko Nikoladze, and Nodar Tabidze, the open space adjacent to the administrative building of the university, was specially organized for students to host the Georgian National Team at UEFA Euro 2024.
Students will attend the broadcast of the first historic match of the Georgian National Team from Germany at the 17th UEFA football championship.
As the representatives of the student clubs of the Georgian Technical University note, the open space surrounding the administrative building is comfortably equipped for fans - large screens and sound amplifiers are installed against the background of the flags of Georgia and the European Union, and there are poufs and tables for students.
The organizers said, “Students gathered in the university space will cheer for the first historic match of the Georgian National Team against Turkey at Euro 2024, and we are sure we will share the joy of the first victory.”
Students of the university will gather to support the Georgian National Team in a specially arranged space near the administrative building to watch the live broadcast of the matches with the Czech and Portuguese National Teams shortly on June 22 – at 16:00 and June 26 – at 22:00.
