The project “Strengthening Gender Diversity in Engineering – Women’s Tech Hub” is nearing its culmination. However, two major events are planned in the coming days.
Through the activities provided by the project, our students diligently studied and developed skills in five main areas, namely: entrepreneurship, management, web technologies, graphic design, and marketing. The courses give the students the knowledge and confidence to innovate and succeed in the tech world.
Entrepreneurship Day - June 19
Join us on June 19th for an Entrepreneurship Day event that will showcase the creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurial enthusiasm of our students. At this event, speakers will present, an interactive seminar will be held (for working on Kanva’s business model), panel discussions with a female representative of the entrepreneurial field, and certificates will be issued confirming participation in the event. It is a fantastic opportunity for our participants to showcase what they have learned from the specific field.
Innovative Ideas Competition - June 21
On June 21st, Women’s Tech Hub will host the “Competition of Innovative Ideas”. Our young innovators will present their innovative ideas to the jury. Students of any level of GTU who have innovative entrepreneurial ideas and want to turn their ideas into real business projects can participate in the competition.
The first, second, and third-place teams will be awarded symbolic cash prizes of $300, $200, and $100, respectively. This competition is not a battle for victory, but a demonstration of the innovative potential and creative thinking of our future leaders.
Those wishing to attend both events must register by 10:00 on June 19.

Together, let’s follow our students’ first steps toward making a meaningful impact in the technology industry.
We remind you that the project “Strengthening Gender Diversity in Engineering – Women’s Tech Hub” is funded and implemented within the framework of the 2023 small grant program of the US Embassy’s Democracy Commission. The project is coordinated by the Office of Technology and Grant Projects of the Georgian Technical University.
