The 88th Open International Scientific Conference of Students at GTU has ended
“The 88th Open International Scientific Conference of students showed us once again that Georgia has a strong and talented young generation that firmly supports the democratic, sustainable, and peaceful future of our country. It is our common responsibility, as teachers of these amazingly motivated, educated, and talented young people, to live up to their expectations”, said the head of the Department of International Relations of the Georgian Technical University, Professor Devi Khvedelian, at the closing event of the 88th Open International Scientific Conference of Students.

 As he informed, the 88th Open International Scientific Conference of Students, which included 56 sections, was completed at the Georgian Technical University: 25 students presented papers on 4 sections at the Faculty of Construction; at the Faculty of Energy, 8 sections - 63 students; 39 students in 2 sections at the Mining and Geological Faculty; At the Faculty of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy, 6 sections worked and 54 students presented their papers; at the Faculty of Architecture, Urbanism and Design - 2 sections, 22 students; at the Faculty of Law and International Relations, 1 section, 22 students; 22 students at the faculties of law and International Relations, as well as Engineering Economics, Media Technologies and Social Sciences, on the inter-faculty section; at the Faculty of Informatics and Management Systems, 84 students in 8 sections; International School of Design - 3 students in 1 section; at the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Biosystems Engineering, 47 students in 5 sections; at the Faculty of Business Technologies, 24 students in 4 sections; at the Faculty of Engineering Economics, Media Technologies and Social Sciences, 24 students in 7 sections; at the Faculty of Mountain Sustainable Development, 21 students in 1 Section.

As Devi Khvedelian stated, the best students of various educational programs at the Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctorate levels presented about 500 papers at the 88th Open International Scientific Conference of Students.

“In the organization of the conference, together with the university Administration, the faculties were involved too, and the number of participants exceeded all expectations; about 500 works and studies were presented. The work of conference was conducted on topics important for the development of the country’s economy, such as Engineering Mechanics; Civil and Industrial constructions; Hydro Engineering; Heat and Hydropower; Electric power, Electronics and Electromechanics; Engineering Geodesy; Mining Technology; Geology; Oil and Gas Technology; Chemical and Biological Technology; Metallurgy, Materials Science and Metalworking; Architecture and Town planning (urbanism); Computer Engineering; Engineering Cybernetics; Physics; Mathematics; Mechanical Engineering, as well as humanities - Foreign Languages and Communication; Economics and Business Management; Law; Theology and others. Highly qualified topics
and studies were presented by students, and they will be placed in the collection of works.

 Within the framework of the 88th Open International Scientific Conference of Students, the commission of scientists and researchers considered 120 of the 500 papers presented as the best, and, accordingly, their authors won first place out of the three prize places. Certificates were awarded to the winning students.
