“The “Young Entrepreneurs Center” of the Faculty of Business Technologies of the Technical University of Georgia turned out to be a successful project, through which now 71 students can make the right choice when choosing a profession”, - said the dean of the Faculty of Business Technologies of the Technical University, Professor Rusudan Kutateladze at the opening of the spring stage of the exclusive project.

The “Young Entrepreneurs Center” was established at the Technical University in 2018. The project and, accordingly, the program through which future students learn the basics of business was developed by the initiative and direct guidance of Professor Rusudan Kutateladze.

As Rusudan Kutateladze noted at the opening of the spring stage of the project, about 300 students from about 50 public and private schools in Tbilisi and the regions have taken part in the sessions of the past years.

“To participate in the current session, the students of Tbilisi public and private schools of general education registered, and unlike in the last years, this time 71 students will participate in the sessions. I would like to emphasize that the increase in the number of attendees is due to the growing interest. I would like to thank the Rector, Academician Davit Gurgenidze for his support, through his direct involvement we increased the number of students. I would also like to thank the 123rd, 54th,18th, 213th, 60th, 61st, 55th, 51st, 179th, 47th, 32nd, 135th, 71st public schools, and private school “Dea”, “St. Ilia Martali’s” School, many business schools, teachers and students for their involvement in the project.

“The goal of this social project of the Technical University is to pave the way for young people who soon can become students of the Faculty of Business Technologies. The acquired knowledge will certainly be useful to them in better mastering the profession. It is a kind of bridge between school and university. We offer schools to participate in the project completely free of charge. The response, since the launch of the project, has exceeded expectations. Unfortunately, it is impossible to include all applicants, despite the increase in the number of places. However, according to the decision of the rector, we will try to increase the number of admitted contingent annually. I want to wish success to the future students, our listeners”, said Rusudan Kutateladze.

Professor Merab Mikelashvili, head of the “Young Entrepreneurs Center” of the Faculty of Business Technologies of the Technical University said that according to statistics, every fifth entrant plans to continue his studies in the direction of business technologies.

The task of the “Young Entrepreneurs Center” is to provide students with information about their future profession. We gave them comprehensive answers to the questions: what is business and economics, what is management and marketing, emotional intelligence and logical thinking, leadership, and business etiquette. These are the main issues with which the school student, as a whole, creates an idea about his future profession. Lectures are delivered by the professors of the faculty of business technologies of the technical university. It is important that our doctorate students also participate in the project, in terms of teaching,” Merab Mikelashvili noted.

The two-month spring session of the “Young Entrepreneurs Center” will last for six weeks and end on May 11th.
