Fr om 27 March to 7 April, 2017 at Polytechnic University of Valencia – UPV (Spain) was conducted Training of Trainers “InnoCENS Entrepreneurship Course” in the framework of Erasmus+ Project InnoCENS (Project #573965-EPP-1-2016-1-SE-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP), wh ere GTU representatives successfully participated.
The project aims to enhance innovation competences and entrepreneurial skills in engineering education through university-business cooperation in order to support creation of new enterprises, new jobs and economic growth in the partner countries.
The project is coordinated by Swedish Royal Institute of Technology – KTH and its duration is 36 months (ends in 2019).
About 24 participants from 4 partner countries attended the training course, with 2 persons from each partner country university and 1 person from each non-university partner (the project includes 8 technical universities in Georgia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan).
The training course was designed mainly for those staff members who would provide entrepreneurship training at their home universities. GTU was represented by Assistant Professor Lia Rukhadze (International Relations and Standards Office, Faculty of Power Engineering and Telecommunications) and Assistant Professor Boris Gitolendia (Faculty of Transportation and Mechanical Engineering).
Intensive training course provided participants with basic knowledge and skills in entrepreneurship considering the issues about team building; mentoring; lean startup; design thinking; business model generation and Canvas model.
During the training course participants were trained in market segmentation and customer development; marketing online; value proposition.
At working meetings were discussed the issues related to finance and fundraising; value proposition; incubator as well as talking to potential customers and role play.
Herewith was conducted workshop on Canvas and Spin-off Case study.
Project participants got acquainted with the activities of IDEAS Institute of UPV - famous for its work on promoting entrepreneurship within UPV and for providing mentoring and guide to staff and students, to start-ups and spin-offs.
At the end of the training course participants were awarded with appropriate Certificates of successful completion of the Training of Trainers.
