“The visit of the delegation from Tashkent Turin Polytechnic University to the Georgian Technical University is a significant step toward further deepening the existing partnership between the two institutions and developing new forms of cooperation. Bilateral dialogue, which aims to encourage innovative ideas and exchange experience in the development of technological directions and identify common scientific interests, creates a solid foundation for the implementation of joint educational and research projects,” said Vice-Rector of the Georgian Technical University, Professor Tamar Lominadze, during a meeting with Rector of Tashkent Turin Polytechnic University (TTPU) Oimzhon Tuichiev.
Vice-rectors of the Georgian Technical University, Professors Tamar Tsereteli and Tamar Lominadze, met with the rector of the Turin Polytechnic University of Tashkent, Oimzhon Tuichiev, and the university delegation. The purpose of the visit was to deepen institutional cooperation, share experience, and discuss the development of joint engineering and technological directions.
At the meeting, which was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of GTU Transport Systems and Mechanical Engineering, Professor Boris Githolendia, and representatives of the administration of both universities, the parties discussed issues related to joint educational programs, scientific research, and student exchange programs.
As Professor Tamar Lominadze noted, the Georgian Technical University is one of the leading universities in Eastern Europe and the Caucasus, actively developing international partnerships and innovative approaches that contribute to the country’s technological, industrial, and logistical progress.
“Georgian Technical University maintains its leading position in a highly competitive technological environment, actively contributing to the development of engineering education in line with international standards and deepening the professional training of students. The university is based on Western academic practices and international standards. This allows us to share accumulated experience and jointly develop innovative models to strengthen education and research. We believe that future cooperation will make a significant contribution to the academic development of our institutions and improve the quality of engineering and technological education in the region. Accordingly, we are ready to actively engage in the formation of working groups and promote the implementation of future initiatives that will be based on common scientific and educational goals,” said Tamar Lominadze.
The cooperation between the two universities contributes to the implementation and development of engineering and technology on a regional scale. The participants of the meeting unanimously expressed their readiness to activate the alliance and plan joint educational and research projects.
