On the initiative of the Faculty of Business Technologies of the Georgian Technical University and organized by the Career Development Department of the Educational Process Management Service, students from the Saarland University of Technology and Economics in Saarbrücken, Germany, who were visiting the university, along with their mentor professor and local students, visited the university’s partner company “Barambo”.
The goal of the visit was for the guests to see on site how Georgian products are made and how the production process takes place, in order to get an idea of the business organizations of our country.
“16 German students and their mentor professor were at the GTU to participate in the 19th International Scientific Conference “Government and Society”. During such scientific conferences, our goal is to make the conferences interdisciplinary, thus promoting the rapprochement of our students and professors with the European educational space,” said Professor Rusudan Kutateladze, Dean of the Faculty of Business Technologies. Associate Professor Nato Katamadze, Head of the Career Development Department of the Learning Process Management Service, evaluated the visit of the German students to the company.
“Our main task is to be in constant communication with our partner business organizations that are successful in the labor market, based on the interests of students, which aims at their employment and career growth/development. We decided to show the German guests one of the successful companies in Georgia, “Barambo”, which has been operating for many years. The market for its products has long gone beyond the borders of our country. Within the framework of the visit, the full production process of the product was seen, from raw materials to the finished packaged state. The meeting was held in an interesting question/answer mode and was highly appreciated by the guests. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to our hosts, Mr. Iago Chocheli, General Director of Barambo LLC, Luka Chocheli, Head of Business Development of the company, Ani Kupreishvili, Director of Marketing Service, and Tamar Nozadze, Customer Communication Specialist, for their support, assistance, excellent hospitality, and gifts that were a pleasant surprise for our German students,” noted Nato Katamadze.
