Within the framework of the institutional strengthening project “Learn - Innovate - Sell - Succeed” (LISS24) at the Georgian Technical University, representatives of the Danish company iMotions held a two-day training seminar at the newly established “Sales Lab” at the GTU Faculty of Transport Systems and Mechanical Engineering.
The goal of the seminar was to retrain the administrative and academic staff of the Georgian Technical University who are involved in the work of the “Sales Lab” in the use of modern equipment and the skills necessary for the functioning of the laboratory.
The training seminar was organized by the GTU Technology and Grant Projects Office and the Faculty of Transport Systems and Mechanical Engineering. According to Professor Boris Gitolendia, the Dean of the GTU Faculty of Transport Systems and Mechanical Engineering, the iMotions mentor seminars included both theoretical and practical sessions.
In addition, the seminar aimed to train Georgian Technical University employees as experts to carry out practical and research activities using the iMotions platform in the future. As Boris Gitolendia notes, the training seminar was attended by colleagues from Kutaisi Akaki Tsereteli and Batumi Shota Rustaveli State Universities, along with the academic staff of GTU.
According to the Dean, the Danish iMotions is a leading software provider worldwide, and the newly opened “Sales Lab” at GTU, which is a university platform with unique technical capabilities, is fully equipped with the latest equipment provided by the Danish company.
“Through its hardware and online applications, iMotions allows us to collect, process, and analyze various types of data on a single platform. This science-backed multimodal software package is one of the most sophisticated tools for providing information about market data. The “Sales Lab” of the Georgian Technical University, which operates at the Faculty of Transport Systems and Mechanical Engineering of GTU, is equipped with the latest equipment provided by iMotions. This is a platform with unique technical capabilities, where it is possible to conduct marketing research of various scales and profiles based on measured parameters and big data analysis. In addition, the laboratory will be fully involved in the educational process and university research. It is noteworthy that the “Sales Lab” will serve all educational programs that include B2B and B2C teaching directions. The training seminar held within the framework of the LISS24 project will contribute to the full operation of the laboratory and, accordingly, the training of highly competitive young personnel in the university space,” says Boris Gitolendia.
LISS24 is a grant-funded institutional development project of the European Union Erasmus+ KA2 activity, which aims to enhance innovative competence in engineering education. The institutional coordination of the project at the Georgian Technical University is carried out by the GTU Technology and Grant Projects Office, and the initial piloting of the project results will be carried out at the GTU Faculty of Transport Systems and Mechanical Engineering, where the main events planned under the auspices of the project are also taking place.
