Summarized the Results of Participation in the GTU Science Festival
The results of the participation of scientists, teachers, and students of GTU faculties and research institutes in the large-scale event organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia “Science Festival 2025”, were summarized at the Georgian Technical University.

At a specially convened meeting, a detailed report on participation in the Science Festival was presented to the Vice-Rector, Professor Tamar Lominadze, by the Head of the GTU Department of Science and Innovations, Professor Mikheil Janikashvili, and employees of the same department.

As Mikheil Janikashvili noted at the meeting, scientists from the faculties and research institutes of the Georgian Technical University, together with students and young researchers, were actively involved in the Science Festival, which was held from September 17th to October 10th of this year in the following order in the major cities of the regions of Georgia: on September 17th in Zugdidi - at Shota Meskhia Zugdidi State University; on September 19th in Batumi - in the vicinity of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University; on September 23rd in Akhaltsikhe - organized by Samtskhe-Javakheti State University on the territory of Akhaltsikhe Castle; on September 25th-26th in Gori - at Gori State University; On September 29th in Kutaisi - at Akaki Tsereteli State University and on October 10th in Telavi, where the festival days were hosted by Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University.

According to the Head of the Department of Science and Innovations, the Georgian Technical University presented an original festival program in all cities, which included a variety of visual materials with the achievements of scientists from the university and research institutes, innovative projects of young researchers and scientific works of students, prototypes made by them, interesting content created using robotics, digital technology and artificial intelligence. As Professor Mikheil Janikashvili noted, the samples presented at the festival stand of the Georgian Technical University were related to engineering, technological, and natural science directions.

According to representatives of the Department of Science and Innovation, Professors Leri Kobakhidze and Giorgi Palavandishvili, the main priority of the “Science Festival 2025” was to promote the deepening of partnerships between the university community and industries operating in Georgia. According to them, within the framework of this year’s festival, which was distinguished by its impressions and scale, the foundation was laid for the implementation of a number of new cooperation and new research projects, experience was shared, ideas were exchanged, and the innovative potential of young people was revealed. As they mentioned, young scientists and researchers of the Georgian Technical University participated in various scientific conferences, seminars, and workshops organized within the framework of the festival, where they presented presentations of their scientific experiments, research, and concepts.

As noted by GTU scientists, the expositions presented by the Georgian Technical University during the festival days aroused wide interest among students of the host universities and visitors in general.

According to the assessment of Vice-Rector, Professor Tamar Lominadze, the Science Festival creates a special opportunity for both the university space and talented and motivated young people who want to realize their potential and contribute to the scientific development of the country. As Tamar Lominadze stated, the active involvement of students and young researchers in such events is extremely important for the Georgian Technical University, which is one of the best ways to share new knowledge and also to integrate them into research activities. According to the Vice-Rector, the university expresses its readiness to continue to support the development of student scientific research in many ways, including the initiation of innovative projects by young scientists and the integration of their scientific potential into the international research space.
