For the first time in Georgia, the 55th International Conference “Artificial Intelligence and Sustainability” of the prestigious international organization - “Young Engineers of Europe” (EYE) - was opened at the Georgian Technical University.
The EYE conference, organized and supported by the Georgian Technical University and initiated by the “Georgian Society of Civil Engineers” (GSCE), was attended by: representatives of leading European universities, Vice-Rector of Jan Długosz University in Czestochowa, Poland, Marcin Sosnowski, President of the “Young Engineers of Europe”, Celia Pedro, President of the Georgian Society of Civil Engineers (GSCE), Yuri Svanidze, Head of the Youth Agency, Vakhtang Baakashvili, one of the Vice-Presidents of EYE and President of the “Georgian Young Engineers Committee”, Giorgi Molodini, Secretary General of the same committee, GTU student Anna Gogaladze, and others.
The 55th International Conference “Artificial Intelligence and Sustainability” opened the Rector of the Georgian Technical University.
As Academician David Gurgenidze noted, the decision to hold the conference in Tbilisi, and more specifically at the Georgian Technical University, was made by the EYE Executive Committee at the 54th International Conference held in Malta, based on a vote.
“Today, our university is making history. For the first time in Georgia, the Georgian Technical University is hosting the 55th International Conference of “Young Engineers of Europe” - “Artificial Intelligence and Sustainability”. The fact that our university was selected by the EYE Executive Committee, based on a vote, at the 54th International Conference held in Malta, is a testament to the high international reputation of the Georgian Technical University. This choice confirms that modern engineering and technological innovations are taught at a high standard at the Georgian Technical University. It is important that the innovative energy of students and young engineers ensures the adoption of new ideas and practical solutions. It is the youthful vision and creative works that create an environment where knowledge is actually transformed into innovation. The Georgian Technical University, as the host of the conference, provides a unique opportunity for international cooperation and the presentation of innovative projects. This platform not only contributes to the development of the university and students but also significantly expands Georgia’s role in the global engineering and scientific space. I wish the conference participants every success,” the rector noted in his speech.
The conference participants were welcomed and wished success by Celia Pedro, President of the “Young Engineers of Europe”, and Yuri Svanidze, President of the “Georgian Society of Civil Engineers” (GSCE).
