On behalf of the university community, Rector of the Georgian Technical University, Academician David Gurgenidze, expresses his condolences over the death of Revaz Grigolia, a scientist, mathematician, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor of TSU and Chairman of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Cybernetics of the GTU, and extends his condolences to the family, the Institute of Cybernetics, friends and educators of the deceased.
As noted in the condolence letter issued by the Georgian Technical University, Revaz Grigolia was an outstanding specialist in algebraic logic. He solved the problem of axiomatization of n-digit Lukasevich logics and their corresponding algebraic models, MVn algebras.
Revaz Grigolia, together with the Italian scientist Antonio Dinola and other foreign colleagues, is the author of many works related to the study of free and projective MV and MMV algebras, and their unification problems. His monograph (together with A. Dinola and E. Turunen) “Fuzzy Logic of Quasi-Truth: An Algebraic Treatment” (2016) is noteworthy.

Revaz Grigolia was an outstanding scientist, a worthy colleague, and a distinguished teacher who left a significant mark on the field of Georgian science and education. His contribution to the activities of the Institute of Cybernetics and the development of the scientific school is invaluable. On behalf of the university community of the Georgian Technical University, I express my sincere sympathy and condolences to the family of Mr. Revaz Grigolia, the Institute of Cybernetics, colleagues, students, and his students. Revaz Grigolia’s death is a great loss for the Georgian science and education system. His contribution will remain as an important legacy, and his memory will be a bright example of loyalty and dedication to science for future generations,” is stated in the condolence letter of the rector, Academician David Gurgenidze.
