“Georgian Technical University is a recognized engineering and technological school in our country and the South Caucasus region, which has strong international scientific and educational ties and is constantly expanding collaboration with local and international industries. “Baumer”, founded in 2013 by a young and energetic team, is today a strong holding company. Its main activity is the provision of high-tech and full-service MEP systems. Our university trains highly qualified and skilled engineers and researchers in this direction and takes care of the further employment of students and graduates and their career development. This is precisely the purpose of the Memorandum of Cooperation.
It is noteworthy that within the framework of the partnership, to support engineering-profile fields, an innovative “Baumer” branded educational and practical space will be organized and launched in the first academic building of the Georgian Technical University, where students and graduates, with the company involvement, will receive theoretical and practical training, as well as learn about modern achievements and trends in the field. In addition, we plan to jointly implement various targeted projects and develop short-term and long-term courses, thereby, the university will support the “Baumer” Academy in the preparation and conduct of certificate training courses. We wish success to the signatories of the memorandum and our youth, who are the target groups of this new partnership,” noted Tamar Tsereteli.
According to Revaz Kamashidze, director of “Baumer”, the company is interested in partnering with the Georgian Technical University and attracting young, talented personnel.
As Revaz Kamashidze noted, supporting students in finding employment and professional skills development opportunities and creating a strong human resource pool for sectoral industries is possible only through cooperation with educational and research institutions.
