A note regarding Pope Francis’s death was made in the book of condolences opened at the Holy See’s Apostolic Nunciature in Georgia on behalf of the Rector of the Georgian Technical University, Academician David Gurgenidze, the university administration, scientific and academic circles, and students.

A note was made in the book of condolences by Vice-Rector, Professor Tamar Lominadze on behalf of the university.

“The Rector of the Georgian Technical University, Academician David Gurgenidze, the university administration, professors, researchers, and students express their sorrow to the world Catholic community over the death of the Head of the Vatican State, Pope Francis. We express our condolences to the Catholic Church, Catholics living in different countries, the Vatican, and the Holy Diocese.

Please accept our heartfelt condolences,” is stated in the condolence note. 

For information, on the day of Pope Francis’s death, Georgian Technical University posted condolences to Catholic students, professors, and the Catholic parish of Georgia on the university’s official social media page.
