Implementation of the International Grant Project Erasmus+CBHE– EU-AGM Has Begun at GTU
The implementation of the international grant project Erasmus+ CBHE– EU-AGM (Joint societal challenge-driven circular economy energy education between Azerbaijan, Georgia, Greece, Moldova, and Romania) for students has begun, with the participation of three Georgian universities:

  • Georgian Technical University (GTU)
  • Shota Rustaveli State University (BSU)
  • Akaki Tsereteli State University (ATSU)

The project aims to modernize existing energy-related courses and programs in higher education institutions in partner countries and disseminate knowledge based on the principles of the circular economy.

The project pays special attention to distance learning promotion, the introduction of digital laboratories, and the introduction of teaching practices based on industrial challenges.

The project plans to:

  • Creation of 8 remote laboratories, which will provide students with access to real experimental environments, including at the Georgian Technical University;
  • Retraining of more than 500 students;
  • Conducting 8 entrepreneurial challenges in cooperation with local industry;
  • Creation and implementation of new master’s, short and professional courses;
  • Implementation of a quality improvement system and use of innovative assessment methods.

For information, the project is co-financed within the framework of the European Union Erasmus+ program and its implementation period is 36 months.

The project will significantly contribute to the internationalization of the Georgian education system and the employment of young professionals and regional development, which fully reflects the European Union’s goals in promoting energy sustainability and innovative education.
