“For the Georgian Technical University, scientific and academic circles, students, and young researchers, multifaceted collaboration with Turkish universities is interesting and important. For several years, the Turkish government scholarship program has been successfully implemented and is issued to bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral students and researchers. Our university has excellent educational, scientific, and expert infrastructure, material and technical base in the form of the latest laboratories, and has leading scientists and specialists in engineering, technology, and humanitarian fields. We can use this data for common goals. This is precisely what is important for the future and successful collaboration of the universities of the two countries. We believe that the cooperation, which will be regulated by future memorandums of understanding between the Georgian Technical University and various universities in Turkey, will be an important component of deepening and expanding scientific and educational collaboration, which will become another guarantee of the sustainability of relations between the two countries,” said Tamar Tsereteli.
The parties agreed that within the meeting framework with Ercan Gülsuyu, Education Counselor of the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Georgia, a specific work plan will be developed, which will contribute to the deepening of scientific, educational, and cultural relations between Georgian and Turkish universities.
