In the framework of the Erasmus K2 program, an information meeting was held at the Georgian Technical University, where speakers Mariam Sulashvili and Giorgi Mchedlidze provided the university community with updated information about the university research transfer and increasing opportunities through cooperation between the university and industry.
According to George Mikiashvili, head of the GTU Technology and Grant Projects Office, the goal of the meeting of the scientists and researchers of the Georgia Technical University with the Erasmus+ office staff is to promote a collaborative environment between Georgian and European educational institutions and organizations, which will help them in the future, within the framework of the Erasmus+ program forming a consortium and finding partners.
‘The goal of the project is to update the research environment of Georgian universities through developing research and development units in the target universities. A joint research platform is already in place to achieve the goal, which contributes to the planning, research activities implementation, and evaluation of the targeted universities, including the Georgian Technical University.
Another informative meeting is necessary for our scientists and researchers to find new contacts, conduct new research, and analyze data. Within the framework of the Erasmus K2 program, important projects are implemented both for the Georgian Technical University and our country.
Today’s meeting was attended by scientific staff of all 13 faculties. They also have the option to contact our office to clarify the information. I am sure the university will use the period from November to February productively, and our scientists will be involved in many interesting and important projects. I wish them success,” said George Mikiashvili.
At the end of the meeting, representatives of the Erasmus+ office answered questions.
