The international scientific-practical conference – “Modern Challenges and Achievements in Information and Communication Technologies – 2024” opened the GTU vice-rector.
Professor Tamar Lominadze thanked the Dean of the Faculty of Informatics and Control Systems, Professor Taliko Zhvania, and the representatives of Dresden University of Applied Sciences, and Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University for organizing the conference.
As the vice-rector said, the Faculty of Informatics and Control Systems of the Georgian Technical University is one of the successful faculties, whose scientists and students contribute to the field development and popularization.
“The scientists of the Georgian Technical University work in the world’s leading research universities, and the students participate in many researches, and the success of each of them is directly related to our university, and to the efforts of the rector, academician David Gurgenidze. Scientists and students should use their knowledge as much as possible to raise the awareness of Georgia and the university in the international space. Scientific-research work must go together with students, therefore we are very happy that today’s conference is attended by students of Georgian Technical University, Dresden University of Applied Sciences, and Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University. The importance of the conference is also indicated by the fact that more than 100 participants are involved in it and 75 reports with interesting topics and important studies are presented. German, Hungarian, Ukrainian, Polish, Azerbaijan and Armenian scientists are participating in the conference with their Georgian colleagues. I wish success to the conference,” announced Tamar Lominadze.
