“On behalf of the Georgian Technical University and Rector, Academician David Gurgenidze, I would like to thank the Tamaz Bekaia Educational Foundation for the important initiative and learning encouragement.
Winning scholarships is a powerful incentive not only for students but also for their teachers. It is gratifying that the students’ work is appreciated in such a way, and for their high academic performance, apart from the state, an independent educational fund also gives them a monthly scholarship.
Learning incentives and earned rewards are important supports for all learning-oriented young people. They are the ones who need to see that learning is appreciated in our society.
We are deeply convinced that they will have followers. Congratulations to our students! For any young person, such success is an unmistakable prerequisite for them to occupy a worthy place in society as high professionals after completing their studies and use the knowledge acquired at the university to contribute to the country’s development,” said Tamar Tsereteli.
As one of the scholarship recipients of the foundation, Ucha Mchedlishvili, a bachelor of the Faculty of Architecture, Urbanism, and Design of GTU, noted at the award ceremony. It is gratifying when a student’s work is appreciated and a private educational foundation awards him/her a scholarship for high academic performance.
