Statement of the GTU Academic Council
Statement of the Academic Council of the Georgian Technical University on appointing the Head of the Quality Assurance Service of the Faculty of the University.

By Resolution No. 01-05-04/162 of the Academic Council of the Georgian Technical University dated October 9th, 2024.

1. Elections for the position of head of the quality assurance service of the Georgian Technical University should be held on November 1st, 2024.

2. The registration of the candidates participating in the elections for the head of the quality assurance service of the GTU should be carried out from October 18th, 2024 to October 25th, 2024.

3. The hearing of the candidate’s action programs will be held in the Academic Council on October 31st, 2024.

4. A person who meets the following requirements can participate in the elections for the position of the head of the quality assurance service:

a) has a doctorate or equivalent academic degree;

b) has at least 4 years of scientific-pedagogical work experience;

c) has at least 4 years of experience working in a managerial position;

d) is less than 65 years old.

5. The contestant must submit the following documentation to the Election Commission:

a) Original and copy of the document certifying the doctorate or equivalent academic degree;

b) a document confirming work experience;

c) autobiography (CV);

d) original and copy of identity document;

e) action program;

f) notice of medical-drug test examination;

g) Notice of conviction for committing a crime against sexual freedom and inviolability and notice of deprivation of rights.

h) 1 photograph (size 3x4 cm).

6. Applications are accepted at the Secretariat of the University Election Commission, address: Tbilisi, 77 Kostava st., GTU administrative building, 2nd floor, room 233. Applications are accepted from 10 am to 5 pm, except for weekends and holidays.

7. According to the university regulations, the academic council with a qualified majority (2/3) of votes, by secret ballot, decides individually on the issue of holding an administrative position by a person aged 65 and over. A person of the mentioned age must additionally submit the consent of the academic council to the university election commission. A person interested in this issue should apply to the Academic Council with an application by October 15th, 2024, through the University Proceedings Department (address: Kostava St. #77, GTU administrative building, 2nd floor). Attendance of a person in the academic council when discussing his issue is mandatory, otherwise the issue will not be considered.
