As the head of the office Thea Murvanidze noted, the goal of the “Women’s Tech Hub” project is to increase the role of women in engineering and their career development. Within the framework of the project, training courses in general management, marketing communications and PR technologies, graphic design, web technologies, and WordPress development, as well as practical entrepreneurship were held for interested students of various faculties at the University, Faculty of Transport Systems and Mechanical Engineering. She said that a summary interactive seminar related to “Entrepreneurship Day” was held under the auspices of the project.
“We are sure that the university career platform created within the framework of the project and the educational and cognitive activities carried out will give students, especially female students, not only basic knowledge and acquire the necessary skills for business but will also strengthen their motivation to show their abilities as much as possible and work more diligently on business ideas in the future. The reason for saying this is that our student groups presented interesting and well-developed business ideas at the innovative ideas competition and won.
We congratulate and wish success to the young people! We are grateful to the Small Grants Program of the Commission for Democracy of the United States of America Embassy in Georgia for supporting and funding a relevant and necessary university project for students. The Georgian Technical University with the support of the Rector, Academician David Gurgenidze, will also try to obtain funding from donor organizations in the future and implement such projects that will be aimed at the career development of students and increase their prospects of employment or self-employment”, said Thea Murvanidze.
