“The cycle of events dedicated to International Children’s Day at the Georgian Technical University traditionally begins with the Gogi Todadze Tbilisi children and Youth International Festival of Theaters. It is one of the best, interesting, and diverse festivals which is a great honor to host. Six countries, including Georgia, participate in the festival; and our university is one among the hosts, for which I would like to thank the head of the Gocha Chogovadze UNESCO University academic department – “Information Society” of the Georgian Technical University and the director of the festival, the general secretary of the Georgian Center of the UNESCO International Theater Institute, Levan Khetaguri and also to other organizers of the festival. Today, the theater group “Koti” from Isfahan province of Iran - Shahin Shahri will present to the audience the performance – “Today I will Become a Tree”. The script was specially translated into Georgian for the festival, and today, the Iranian actors will present this interesting play to the Georgian audience in their native language. I wish success to the festival organizers”, said Tamar Lominadze.

The festival organizers are the National Palace, the Georgian Scientific and Research Institute of Art, the UNESCO International Institute of Theater, and others. The festival partners are the Georgian Technical University, Gocha Chogovadze UNESCO University academic department, Puppet Theater, Sukhumi Theater, the Youth Theater, etc.
