The aim of the program is to prepare PhDs in the field of engineering geodesy who will be competent to carry out their assigned work. Also to study theoretical and practical issues within the basic and special educational programs of engineering geodesy; to continue scientific work, train specialists in the field of geodesy.

The goal of the program is to enable the doctoral student with advanced theoretical knowledge to independently perform scientific-research and practical work related to oil and gas exploration, drilling and extraction, which will be specifically based on hydrogeological, geochemical, geophysical research and innovative drilling technologies. The doctoral student should study the detailed oil and gas regions of Georgia, identify new oil and gas exploration areas and be able to independently make correct and effective decisions to solve the problem in a specific situation.

The goal of the program is to prepare a highly qualified doctor who should know and be able to: basic technical hazards, their characterization, level of impact on people and means of protection; Identification of the dangers of the production environment, risk assessment, selection of effective protective means, provision of comfortable working environment; Legislative and legal acts of safety, labor hygiene, industrial sanitation, fire-explosive safety, radiation safety, electrical safety, safety technical regulations.
