The
Tutoring and Mentoring Center of the Georgian Technical University invites academic and administrative staff to participate in the mentoring program.
Mentoring is a structured mechanism of professional support, the purpose of which is the academic and personal development of students without assessment and subject teaching.
Who can become a mentor?
The program is intended for:
- Academic staff (professors, associate professors, lecturers);
- Visiting teachers and experts in the field;
- Administrative staff who wish to share their experience with students.
Important: The mentor does not play the role of an evaluator and does not participate in the assignment of academic grades.
Mentoring is based on dialogue and includes supporting the student in goal setting and professional development.
Meetings are held in a flexible format (face-to-face or online), and 1-2 meetings per month are recommended.
Why should you get involved?
Mentoring offers:
- Expanded professional role;
- Certificate of participation in the program;
- Involvement in university development processes without additional administrative burden.
Mentors will undergo a short training developed within the framework of the
Erasmus+ project
PROMENT.
