“New Trends in High-Energy Physics – 2025” - GTU Scientists at International Conference
Scientists from the Department of Engineering Physics of the Faculty of Informatics and Control Systems of the Georgian Technical University participated in the international conference “New Trends in High-Energy Physics – 2025”.

At the international conference, which was dedicated to the discussion of leading topics in modern high-energy physics, scientists from the Department of Engineering Physics of the Georgian Technical University presented two plenary reports - Professor Paata Kervalishvili on the topic: “Leptons as Possible Qubits for Quantum Computing” and Professors Tamar Berberashvili, Vakhtang Gogichaishvili, and Paata Kervalishvili on the group topic: “Boundary Value Solution for Spin-Polarized Flow”.

According to Paata Kervalishvili, a scientist at the GTU Department of Engineering Physics, the aforementioned scientific forum, which focuses on current problems in high energy, particle and nuclear physics, was dedicated to the memory of the organizer of the series of conferences in high energy physics, the famous Hungarian scientist, Professor Laszlo Jenkowski, who passed away in August of this year.

As Paata Kervalishvili notes, by participating in scientific forums of this format, scientists and researchers of the Georgian Technical University have the opportunity to introduce the latest research conducted in the Department of Engineering Physics to leading scientists around the world, deepen future collaboration with them, and at the same time, interest young researchers from different countries. According to him, about 90 scientists from 20 countries participated in the conference work.

For information, the international conference “New Trends in High Energy Physics – 2025” ended its work today. The scientific forum was hosted by Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University as part of the festive events dedicated to its 90th anniversary.

The conference website is hosted on the server of the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN).
