“Georgian Technical University is much more than just an educational institution - it is a place where young people develop. The university is home to outstanding professors and teachers, whose selfless work serves to educate a new generation of professionals. Their tireless efforts and desire to share knowledge and experience left an indelible mark on me,” says GTU graduate Shota Chanukvadze.

Shota Chanukvadze completed his doctoral studies at the Faculty of Law and International Relations. His dissertation, “Political and Legal Aspects of Terrorism,” was supervised by Professors Otar Chumburidze and Jemal Gabelia.

As Shota Chanukvadze emphasizes his education at the Georgian Technical University significantly influenced his career in law enforcement. 

“For me the Georgian Technical University is much more than just an educational institution. Throughout the training, I gained not only theoretical knowledge but also practical skills that proved invaluable in my work in the police. The courses I took in criminology, forensics, and technology enabled to analyze cases more effectively and utilize modern investigative techniques. Additionally, the university placed a strong emphasis on critical thinking, problem-solving, and ethical decision making key elements in the policing profession.

Beyond academic studies, this experience taught me the importance of discipline, teamwork, and effective communication. Interactions with professors and fellow students have improved my ability to assess situations from different perspectives, which is an essential component of my work and allows me to serve the people and the country with dignity and dedication,” says Shota Chanukvadze.
